Training and Development
Unik Care is committed to the growth of its employees. We offer a range of training and development opportunities:
- Comprehensive Onboarding Training: Orientation to Unik Care’s mission, values, and policies; trauma-informed care practices; safety protocols; cultural awareness; and client rights.
- Mandatory and Specialized Certifications: First Aid & CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), Suicide Prevention (ASIST or SafeTALK), and Medication administration (if applicable).
- Trauma-Informed and Behavioral Support Training: Learning in trauma-informed intervention, attachment-based care, positive behavior support strategies, and understanding youth mental health.
- Cultural Competency & Indigenous Knowledge: Learning about Indigenous history, traditions, and building awareness around reconciliation.
